'Ode to womanhood' on first day of 'India Runway Week' season 6

New Delhi, April 16 (ANI): The much awaited sixth season of 'India Runway Week,' in association with Big Boy Toyz, on its very first day, experienced the celebration of life on the ramp.

Chesi Anne Basil, a 16-year old cancer parienct, whose only wish was to be a model and walk the ramp, turned the star of the evening with the help of VARIJA DESIGN STUDIO and Make-A-Wish-Foundation.

VARIJA DESIGN STUDIO's collection, named PAGDI is an ode to women like Chesi who have taken a huge responsibility to make this world a better place.

The Summer Edition of the 'India Runway Week' commenced at Thyagraj Stadium yesterday with the opening show was named 'Fashion Startups of India,' that was fully financed by IFFD.

It presented collections of eight designers out of thirty young designers of the previous seasons of 'India Runway Week' who participated under 'Newgen' category.

'DJ wale Babu' fame Natasa Stankovic dazzled the ramp as a showstopper for Gauri Couture by Nikheil and Rivendra yesterday for their collection named 'ITRR' inspired from vintage garden.

'India Runway Week' is Asia's youngest fashion trade event which introduces new talent every season and places young Indian designers firmly on the global fashion stage.

IRW provides a platform for both established and upcoming talented designers but also introduce fresh designers to showcase their collections.
