10-year-old boy injured after minor girl forces sex in Kanpur

In a bizarre case reported from a Kanpur village, a 10-year-old boy was hospitalised after a minor girl tried to force him into having sex with her.

The incident took place in Kulhauli village of Bidhnu area when the 16-year-old girl sweet-talked the boy from her neighbourhood into his house and tried to have sex with him.

Clerics issue fatwa allowing transgender marriages in Pakistan

At least 50 clerics have issued a fatwa (religious decree) that marriage with a transgender person is now lawful in Pakistan, a media report said on Monday.

The fatwa, released on Sunday by the clerics affiliated with Tanzeem Ittehad-i-Ummat, said a transgender person having "visible signs of being a male" may marry a woman or a transgender with "visible signs of being a female" and vice versa, Dawn online reported.

But, the fatwa added, a transgender person carrying "visible signs of both genders" may not marry anyone.

Key Indian equity indices open marginally in red

Withstanding all the global volatility due to Brexit (Britian's exit from the European Union), key Indian equity indices on Monday morning opened marginally in red.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 53.11 points or 0.20 per cent lower during the morning session.

'India a player on global scale in terms of credibility': BJP

BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli said everyone is entitled to have a point of view.

"As far as an assessment of the foreign policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government would be considered I think one can clearly see that results are showing. Definitely, there is a big change between what India's standing globally was two years ago and two years after Modi ji has assumed office," Kohli told ANI.

UP CM Akhilesh to expand his Cabinet

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will today expand his Cabinet in perhaps the last reshuffle of his Council of Ministers ahead of next year's assembly elections in the state.

Governor Ram Naik will administer oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers at the Raj Bhawan here.

Mysuru to witness royal marriage of Yaduveer Wodeyar with Trishika

Maharaja of Mysore Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will today tie the nuptial knot with Trishika Kumari Singh, who belongs to a royal family of Rajasthan.

The iconic Mysore Palace Amba Vilas Palace has been decked up for the royal wedding of Wodeyar family scion Yaduveer.

Trishika is the daughter of Harshvardhan Singh and Maheshri Kumari from the Dungarpur royal family in Rajasthan. The marriage ceremony will take at the kalyana mandapa at the karkataka lagna and savitra mahurat time between 9.05 a.m. and 9.35 a.m.

'Obstructionist' China will find it difficult to foil India's NSG bid: Defence Expert

Defence expert Major General (Retd.) P.K. Sehgal on Monday said Pakistan's assertion that China acted upon its principled stance in opposing India's bid to join the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) is an attempt to save the blushes, adding Beijing will find it very difficult to be obstructionist in the same manner that it has been at present in the next meeting.

Major General (Retd.) Sehgal said Pakistan is trying to say exactly the same thing what China said.
