Additional District Judge, special court, Kaushalendra Yadav sentenced Rajendra to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 60,000 on him.
According to prosecution, on February 12, 2013 the accused Rajender had stealthily entered the house of one Amar Singh and tried to force himself on his wife Seema. When the victim resisted, he poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze.
She later succumbed to her injuries in a hospital following which the accused was arrested and a case was registered against him, he said.
